Try to NEVER turn off your computer by the use of the power button or by
flipping the switch on a power bar.  This may cause System and software

failures or even hardware damage.  Which may lead to the loss of data.

There is only one proper way to Turn off your Computer.
Simply click on your 'Start' Button, click on 'Turn Off Computer'.

1 Start Menu View                                                2 Classic Start Menu View

After clicking the highlighted Turn Off Computer selection, a pop up window will show up.
From the pop up window click 'Turn Off'.  This will give the system a chance
to turn off all programs and shut down.  Do not be alarmed if this
process takes a bit longer on occasion.

Tip #3                         How to change your Desktop background picture

_____________________________________________________________________________________________
_____________________________________________________________________________________________

Right click anywhere on the desktop, then left click on 'Properties'

This will open the display pop up window.

(you can also open this display window by clicking 'start', 'settings', 'control panel' followed by double clicking the 'display icon' in the control panel for the classic start menu view) or (click 'start', followed by the 'control panel' and double click on the  'displayicon  in start menu view.)

On the display pop up, seen below click on the 'Desktop' tab near the top left of that window.
'Select the picture' you want from the list below the mini display window, or your own picture from a file by
clicking the
'Browse' button. When you are done playing with all the settings and have the picture
you want chosen, click the
'OK' button and the background photo will change.  We recommend having the stretch selected rather than tile or center option below the browse button, that will stretch the image over the whole desktop.

When done your background picture will change, just like in the example below.
